Chaloula

We went to see a church that is built on the top of a pyramid. They didn't know that the pyramid was there until the 1960's and it is massive. Everyone thought it was a big hill. We climbed to the top of the hill to look at the church. I can't imagine climbing that hill every sunday and definitely cannot imagine carrying all the rocks to the top of the hill to build the church.

The churh on the pyramid. I zoomed it in. Believe me it is a long walk up the hill.

The bottom part of the pyramid that they have uncovered.

They were having some kind of festival in the town. Lots of people were dressed in costumes and firecrackers were constanting going off. It was rather noisy.

The view of Puebla from the top of the hill. It is a very large city. There are not many sky scrapers at all like in Calgary and no one has a front yard. The houses go right up to the sidewalk. Every available piece of concrete has grafetti sprayed on it. There is no use to cover it up because the next day it is right back.

These men are on top of a pole about 50 feet in the air. They are called the Flying men of.,...I can't remember the name of the place they are from. They call jump off the pole at the same time and swing around it while one man plays a flute. They are completely syncronized. It is very beautiful to watch.
